Institute for Governance, Development and Prospects (IGDP)
A non-governmental research organisation, the IGDP is the operating arm of the Laboratory of Sociology Economic and Anthropology of Symbolic Memberships (LAASSE) of the Department of Sociology of the University Felix Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan (Ivory Coast, of which it is the main partner Composed of Teachers, Researchers of Universities, PhD Students and Experts in various disciplines and sociology (Economics, Law, Political Science, Management, etc.)
It positively contributes to sustainable development in Ivory Coast by positing Ivorian society's research potential, research results and performance for the benefit of opinion leaders, policy makers, executives and key actors in development including UNICEF, WFP, CAPEC, IDS-UK, OECD, AKF, BNETD, etc.
Its role is to create a relevant database on the relationships between inequality, migration and development at the Burkina Faso - Côte d'Ivoire corridor level. In particular, this research will focus on inequalities between childhood, inequalities between resources and inequalities between remittances, knowledge by analysing ideological, symbolic, normative, relational dimensions and social production frameworks inequalities in order to propose alternatives.
