Our overarching vision is to:

• Disrupt dominant assumptions about the reasons why people move and the consequences of migration
  
• Deepen knowledge and understanding of the relationships between South-South migration, inequality and delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  
• Explore the impact and effectiveness of interventions designed to reduce inequalities associated with South-South migration
  
• Build interdisciplinary migration research capacity in the Global South by providing extended opportunities for knowledge exchange and training
  
• Bring new and existing knowledge and expertise into contact with local, national and international organisations
  
• Influence national and international policy processes
  
• Challenge dominant narratives on migration
  
• Improve the lives of migrants, their families and the communities of which they are a part
