Organised by Utrecht University in the Netherlands, the "Migrant Belongings: Digital Practices and the Everyday" is an online conference exploring the relationship between media and migration. The conference aims to provide cross-disciplinary discussions on how use of digital media shapes identity, diaspora communities, spaces of belonging and more.

Our MIDEQ team, Francisca Sassetti and Dr Maria Rosa Lorini, from thematic area digital technologies and inequalities, and Mohammad Rashed Alam Bhuiyan, from the migration intermediaries thematic area, will present on the panel "How has digital technology impacted & shaped migration intermediaries".

Joining them on the panel will be Sophie Zinser, Consultant at Diginex Solutions in Hong Kong and former Research Assistant at the United Nations University Institute in Macau. The session will be moderated by Zsófia Hacsek, Research Assistant & Doctoral Researcher at Coventry University.
