On the occasion of International Migrants Day, the Institute for Migration Studies (IMS) at the Lebanese American University and the United Nations Center for Policy Research (UNU-CPR) in partnership with the MIDEQ Hub and the ILO are organising an online panel that aims to address the contribution of migration to the development space in the MENA, with a focus on Jordan and Lebanon more specifically. Moderated by Professor Heaven Crawley (UNU-CPR), panelists from MIDEQ (Jordan) and the ILO Regional Office (Lebanon) will discuss how migratory practices have contributed, and continue to contribute, to development priorities and narratives in both contexts. Dr Jasmin Lilian Diab (IMS) will provide introductory remarks on the MENA context.
